What is ROFUS?

ROFUS is the Danish Gambling Authority’s register of voluntarily excluded players. In ROFUS, you can register yourself using MitID if you want to take a break from gambling.

When you are registered in ROFUS, you are blocked from all online gambling offered by operators licensed by the Danish Gambling Authority, as well as all land-based casinos and land-based betting in Denmark.

A ROFUS registration is personal, so you can only register yourself.

Choose how long you want your gambling break to last

In ROFUS, you can choose how long you want your exclusion to be:

  • 24 hours
  • 1, 3, or 6 months
  • Permanent exclusion

No thank you to gambling ads

When you register in ROFUS, you are automatically added to the “No thanks to gambling ads” scheme. This allows licensed gambling operators to check your registration before sending out marketing. Any direct advertising to you will therefore be blocked.

“Gambling ads” means any kind of commercial contact using phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, or other information the gambling operator has about you from your gambling account.

What if you change your mind?

A ROFUS registration is binding. The strength of ROFUS is that your registration cannot be cancelled — even if you regret it later.

If you excluded yourself for 24 hours, 1, 3, or 6 months, your exclusion will automatically end when the period expires.

If you chose a permanent exclusion, you can request to have your registration deleted no earlier than one year after the date you registered. You do this by logging in to ROFUS with your MitID. You must confirm your request by logging in again no sooner than 7 days and no later than 30 days after your first request.

Register without MitID

To register in ROFUS, you normally log in with MitID. If you do not have MitID, you can register by filling out form no. 9 01.

Technical issues

If you experience technical problems with ROFUS, we would appreciate hearing from you so we can fix the issue.

If you unexpectedly find that you can create a gambling account, log in to your gambling account, or receive direct advertising from a gambling operator while you are excluded, we encourage you to contact us.

Please note that the Danish Gambling Authority cannot be held responsible for any technical errors in ROFUS.
