Get answers to your questions about ROFUS.
Online gambling offered by operators licensed by the Danish Gambling Authority, as well as all land-based casinos and betting in land-based shops in Denmark.
A registration in ROFUS is confidential.
However, the gambling operators covered by ROFUS will have access to information about your registration in the following situations:
- If you try to log in to your gambling account or create a new one, the operator will see whether you are registered in ROFUS.
- If you try to enter a land-based casino, the casino will be able to see whether you are registered in ROFUS.
- If you try to purchase bets in land-based shops in Denmark, the operator will be able to see whether you are registered in ROFUS.
- Before they send marketing material to their players.
Only in these situations can operators see your registration.
A permanent exclusion lasts indefinitely.
The period of commitment for a permanent exclusion is one year and seven days. After one year, you may request the Danish Gambling Authority to delete your registration.
A registration in ROFUS is binding. The strength of ROFUS is that your registration cannot be cancelled or deleted — even if you regret it.
If you have excluded yourself temporarily, your registration will automatically be lifted when the selected period expires.
If you have chosen a permanent exclusion, you may request deletion no earlier than one year after your registration. You do this by logging in to ROFUS with your MitID.
You must confirm your request by logging in to ROFUS again no sooner than 7 days and no later than 30 days after submitting it.
You must use MitID when registering in ROFUS so we can ensure that you are who you claim to be and avoid false registrations. This also means you can only register yourself.
If you do not have MitID, you can fill out and send form no. 9-01 via our contact form or to:
Spillemyndigheden
Lerchesgade 35, 6
5000 Odense C
Denmark
If you have chosen a permanent exclusion, operators must automatically close your gambling account and pay out any remaining balance once they become aware of your exclusion — for example, if you attempt to log in while excluded.
If you have registered temporarily, your account is temporarily deactivated. To withdraw money, you must contact the operator.
You can exclude yourself from a specific operator on the operator’s own website. You can read more about exclusion periods on each operator’s site. If you choose a permanent exclusion, your gambling account will be closed.
You can also choose to exclude yourself from a specific casino. Contact the casino to learn how.
You must contact the operator, as this may be a technical error.
Operators must provide access to a “self-test for gambling addiction” on their websites. You can also find the test at stopspillet.dk.
If you need guidance on responsible gambling, you are welcome to contact the Danish Gambling Authority’s helpline StopSpillet at phone number +45 70 22 28 25. More information is available at stopspillet.dk.
The operator is responsible for ensuring that you do not receive direct marketing while registered in ROFUS. Therefore, it is important that you contact the operator as soon as you notice the error.
The Danish Gambling Authority would like to be informed of such errors, so that we can potentially include them in our supervision of gambling operators. You can contact us via our contact form.
